雪里蕻又叫春不老，雪菜，用它炒肉末喷香，腌制后食用的方法就更多了，不管是炒菜、蒸菜放上它，都十分美味。

雪里蕻种植简单，不挑地方，在全国各地都可以种植。它喜欢冷凉气候，生长适宜温度为15-20℃，高于25℃或低于15℃会造成生长缓慢，细小，在高温条件下纤维物质增多，所以一般是在秋季种植。
